Shrimp Spaghetti Recipe

  • 6 ounces of spaghetti
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil
  • 12 ounces of medium shrimp, peeled and discarded the center
  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2½ ounces of canned tomatoes without salt
  • 3 tablespoons of tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp fresh chopped basil or 1 tsp dried basil
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh minced oregano or 1 tsp of dried oregano
  • 1 tbsp pickled capers
  • T teaspoon chili powder
  • Chopped Basil for additives (optional)

How to make

  1. Cook spaghetti according to the instructions in the package
  2. Meanwhile, in a large pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the shrimp and garlic, cook for 3 minutes or until the shrimp is reddish. Transfer the shrimp and remaining oil into one container and set aside.
  3. Add tomatoes, tomato paste, oregano, capers, and chili powder to the pan, place on medium heat for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add the shrimp and the remaining oil to the pan, cook for 2 minutes.
  4. Serve spaghetti and give shrimp sauce on top. Serve immediately.
